James Wassell

James combines his talent as an artist and illustrator with his architectural training to work collaboratively with a global network of designers.

He has worked as a Senior Concept Designer for Walt Disney Imagineering and as a Director of Environmental Design for Sony Development. James has participated over the past 15 years in numerous design charrettes with Duany Plater Zyberk Town Planners and his work has been exhibited and and recognized nationally. Other clients include Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Denver Museum of Art, Namura Bank, Daimler Chrysler, SFX Entertainment Group, Rockwellgroup, Gwathmey Siegel Architects, and Herbert Newman Architects.

James studied architecture and painting at Syracuse University, receiving his MFA in painting in 1981. A University Fellowship allowed him to pursue his parallel interest in architecture.
